How to use the Ping System on Role

The Ping System on Role is designed as a safety tool.

On the left-hand side of each Game Room, players will find the Play Panel. Within the Play Panel is The Dice Roller, The Asset Library, and the Chat.

How the Ping system works:

• Pings are Always Anonymous
• Role recommends that your Group should agree upon what to do when a Ping occurs before they begin playing a session.
• The ping feature has value when all players in a table have agreed upon its purpose and how to use it.

Here at Role, our team uses the Ping tool as a way to anonymously communicate any time someone has crossed a line.

The ping is short and will then give whoever is currently narrating pause, hopefully, so they can shift the trajectory of the story to better suit the Role Players in the room. We also recommend setting up a Safety Tools Sheet ahead of time with safety tools agreed upon by your Role Players.
